Sketchup Round Corner [hot] Crack Top
SketchUp has a well-known internal limitation where it struggles to create faces with edges shorter than approximately 1/16 of an inch (or 1mm). If your rounding radius is small, or the segments are highly detailed, the plugin tries to generate tiny faces. SketchUp fails to close these loops, leaving visible "cracks" or holes.
The designer had previously drawn a center guide line across the top face (to align leg holes). That guide line was a hidden, un-deleted edge. The Round Corner tried to round across that internal edge, creating a crack.

In the Round Corner dialog, you have "Round" (smooth) and "Sharp" (flat miter). "Sharp" frequently creates the crack top. Use with a low segment count (3-4 segments) for tops.
Sometimes the settings inside FredoCorner or Round Corner are too aggressive for the geometry.
If you have already applied the operation and notice small cracks or missing triangles on the top surface, you can heal the geometry manually. SketchUp has a well-known internal limitation where it

: SketchUp has a hard time creating faces smaller than ~1/16th of an inch (1.6mm). When you round a corner with many segments, the resulting triangles at the very top can be so small that SketchUp fails to fill them, leaving a "crack" or hole. The designer had previously drawn a center guide
Install the Weld extension or use the native "Weld" function (if available). Select all edge segments surrounding the top face, and weld them into a single curve before applying the round corner tool. 3. Use the "Keep Sharp Corners" Option
For a top face to remain solid, all its bounding edges must lie on the exact same flat plane. If your original model has even a microscopic warp or a misplaced vertex on the top surface, the RoundCorner plugin will split the face into a web of triangles or fail to generate a clean top skin.
Use the Preview mode in FredoCorner to see if your offset is too large. If the preview shows red or overlapping lines, reduce the radius until they disappear.
