Years later, Rahul and Tina are married, but tragedy strikes as Tina dies shortly after childbirth, leaving behind a daughter, also named Anjali (played by child actress Sana Saeed). Before her death, Tina writes a series of letters to her daughter. The plot is set in motion when young Anjali discovers a letter from her deceased mother instructing her to reunite her widowed father with his "true love"—the original Anjali Sharma (Kajol). The young girl orchestrates a summer camp scheme to bring her father and the other Anjali together, only to discover that Anjali is now engaged to the kind-hearted Aman (Salman Khan), setting the stage for a final, dramatic confrontation where true love triumphs.
